Cards Three and Four

These two cards use a 2" X 5-1/2" strip of DSP. Just changing the paper and the orientation of the strips makes for two very different cards. And you get so much paper in a pack of DSP that you have plenty to make envelope liners that match.

The cards... One and Two...

As promised, here are two of the six cards I made for the Silent Auction. Simple and easy using the Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper. I love the double sided paper; it's such a good quality. And you have instant color scheme. Not to mention the coordination of inks and accessories that SU! provides.  I rarely buy supplies from anywhere else now; it's so easy to order online and keeps the UPS! delivery person employed, too. The stamps used are from the Another Thank You set. I did some experimenting on the lower card. I love that big script thank you but it is huge... I wanted to use the folded over DSP but the Bohemian DSP design and stamp were just too big together, so I did some fussy cutting on just part of the stamped image. I used my paper trimmer to cut the straight edges on both sides of the script. I just carefully stopped when I got near to the stamped script. Then I grabbed my Paper
Snips and cut around the 'y'. Love those sharp little scissors!

Set of Cards and Holder

This is a set of cards I have made for a Benefit Silent Auction to be held in our area next month. I got the magazine holder idea and instructions from Linda Heller's Stamping School. I love having a subscription to her online school. I look forward to each week's ideas. She always has great tips, too and shares all her insight on the latest products from Stampin' Up!

This holder is so much easier than it looks.













And because I've used Stampin' Up! images on the cards inside I made this little label for the back edge of the box.








I made 6 different Thank You cards and matching envelopes for this box. I'll share the cards the rest of this week.

Hooray for Today!

This card uses some DSP. I had two pieces that were just the size for layering and then added a banner that I embossed with Elegant Dots embossing folder. I like this color combo.

More DSP Scraps

 I often end of with scraps of Designer Series Paper that measure about 2 inches by 3 inches. Here are 4 cards using those scraps.

For this last one I had three scraps that were the same pattern. The opposite side just didn't seem to coordinate. So, I used the same pattern and then added the seam binding to cover the gaps. Then I decided to stamp directly onto the DSP, always a scary thing when you make that the last step. I don't know why I didn't grab either my stamp-a-majig or use a photopolymer stamp but I got lucky and got it on straight.

Larger Scraps

I had some larger scraps that I used to make these two cards paired with an embossed image. The top expression comes from the Tin of Cards stamp set.

Scraps On My Work Table

These two cards were made using Designer Series Scraps and some scrap card stock that was laying on my work table. I made the first card and punched the DSP scraps using the Banner Triple punch. Then just layered them and added a little twine and button. The expressions comes from the retired Sincere Salutations stamp sets (still one of my favorites).
For the second card the third scrap was just too small to make into a banner. So I had to come up with a different layout. The stamped expression comes from Itty Bitty Banners stamp set and is die cut using the Bitty Banners framelits.
