Just the Words

Today's Marquee Messages card uses just two of the word stamps. I've used the new In Colors, Dapper Denim, Emerald Envy, Flirty Flamingo, Peekaboo Peach and Sweet Sugarplum.

Marquee Messages with Gel Pen

For this card I stamped the marquee on shite card stock and again on Cucumber Crush. Then I cut the arrow out of the Cucumber Crush and popped it up with dimensionals. For added flash I used my white gel pen to color in the bulbs. I really like the way they pop! The rest of the Marquee and words were colored using markers.

Markers with Marquee Messages

For today's card I just stamped the marquee and the messages on white card stock and then fuzzy cut around the outside edge. I used markers to color it. I wanted to add a littly bling and so I put a few rhinestones on the arrow, the other "bulbs" were brightened up with clear Wink of Stella, it just doesn't show much in the photo.

Marquee Messages with DSP

Today's card also requires stamping the marquee three times and fussy cutting the arrow and banner. I used a marker to color the messages, side stripes and the stars on the banner. I saw a very similar card on Pinterest and loved the color combo of Real Red, Basic Black and Pool Party.

Marquee Messages

Getting creative this week with the new stamp set Marquee Messages. The minute I saw this set in the new catalog I knew I'd be getting it. It just grabbed my attention. These cards are a case of cards Shelli and daughter posted. In order to make the colorful card you have to stamp the image on three different pieces of cardstock... so why not make three cards... you can do it if you are careful when cutting out the pieces.

A Little Gift Bag

My husband came in from working in the yard one day last week to let me know it was the neighbor girl's birthday. I had some little candies but needed a little bag to make a gift. So, I finally put my gift bag maker into use. To be honest it took me four tries before I figured out the directions. I was in a rush and wasn't reading them correctly. Once I discovered my error the bag went together quickly. {Sigh!}

Another Pre-Stamped Image

This was the other image of stamped cardstock I found. When I looked at it I remembered that the Four Frames stamp set had a similar rose image. I'm pretty sure that is why I asked my sister to stamp these images. Anyhow I decided to do a little daubing of color on the large image and then use the same colors in markers for the little label. The daubing is one of those things that I tend to overthink and overdo, always have to restrain myself a bit. A little is better than a lot. I had four of these images to work with and my daubing got progressively better.

Sympathy Cards - Three Variations

  I found some sheets of Vanilla card stock that had already been stamped with these flourishes. My sister and I sometimes swap stamped images or die cuts if we don't own a particular stamp or die. I couldn't remember what my original thought was for how to use these so I just came up with a new idea. Another stamping friend designs a lot of her cards using a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 piece of cards stock as the base and then adds a smaller folder "card" to that base. So, I decided to give that a try on these three cards.

And finally the pack of DSP is all gone. I cut the squares with the 3/4" square punch and then adhered them to the card base. Each card is just a little different. Can you spot the differences?

In the Meadow

I had some pre-cut white circle scraps sitting on my desk and decided to pull out In the Meadow stamp set to make some masculine cards. This is the first card I made.
