Nuts About You

As I was using some of my retired stamps I noticed this one on my shelf. As I was in need of a few anniversary cards I decided to have some fun with it. I used markers to color the birds when stamping them but wanted to get better coverage on the tree, so I first inked it with Tip Top Taupe ink using my stamping pad, then used a q-tip to remove the ink from the leaves and then used my Cucumber Crush marker to color the leaves before stamping on the white card stock. The little heart was punched and added with a mini glue dot.

Last Post for May's Paper Pumpkin

I still had two large pieces cut from the bags on my desk. They were pieces that had the prepunched circles. I had managed to cut them so I could layer another piece of card stock or DSP to cover them. But I also had a little bit of the Thick Twine left. And it was just enough to lace through the punched holes. So, I stamped on some Whisper White card stock with my Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight and Bermuda Bay ink. (Island Indigo ink was included in the kit). Then I punched them using my 2-1/2" circle punch. I made two cards like this and that means I got 21 cards and two gift bags out of my May Paper Pumpkin kit.
And the best part I still have the five photo polymer stamps to use that came in the kit. Woohoo!

Thinking ahead to Halloween!

This card is a CASE from Linda Heller at Stamping School. I changed it up just a bit by adding the stamped and punched Hello Honey moon. After I took the photo I realized I forgot to add the little ghost I stamped on vellum. Oh, well... I'll share some vellum ghosts in tomorrow's post.
The stamp sets here are  Mingle All the Way (135773 c, 135770 w) and Holiday Home (photopolymer 135095) from the Holiday catalog. I used the coordinating Homemade Holiday framelits (135857) and the 2-1/2" circle punch (120906). The house was colored using Blendabilities Daffodil Delight Assortment (130998) and Smokey Slate Assortment (131005). To stamp the pumpkin I used the Tangelo Twist and Mossy Meadow markers from the 2014-2016 set (133654). The card stock is Hello Honey, Mossy Meadow, Lost Lagoon, Basic Black and Whisper White.
