TBT: All in the Family Sisters

A friend brought her two little nieces with her to church. My husband sends out cards to all the visitors so he requested a special one for these little girls. I used the All in the Family stamp set, Warm Words stamp set, Lullaby Designer Series Paper, In Color ribbon, markers and Large Oval punch to make this card.
Hint:  to get the knots on the ribbon lined up they way you want; attach a flat piece of ribbon to the card front, then knot a smaller piece of ribbon to that flat piece. Then you can slide that knot wherever you want it.

Dotty Angles

I haven't had much time to play with the Dotty Angles stamp set but it can be used in so many ways. I saw a layout where the edge of the card was dry embossed with polka dots. I decided I could stamp instead. The DSP is Lullaby. I wanted just the word "love" on the front. Do you think I could find a stamp of the right size? Of course, not. So I wound up using my marker and carefully coloring just that word in the God is Love stamp from the Trust God stamp set. The letters are all entwined on that stamp so I wasn't sure it would work. Turned out being easier than I thought.

It's a Cupcake Kind of Day!

Today's card uses a piece of Designer Series Paper from the Lullaby pack. I punched circles from pieces of card stock and scattered them on the DSP. Tied a ribbon and placed the largest circle over it with dimensionals. Then I got out the Cupcake Builder punch and retired Create a Cupcake stamp set and made the cupcake with the cherry on top. Have you noticed the new Cupcake Party stamp set on page 58 in the Stampin' Up! catalog? I'm adding it to my Christmas list because the images are so darn cute!

Endless Birthday Wishes!

Today's birthday card is a made using Stampin' Up!'s photopolymer Endless Birthday Wishes stamp set (137553). This is a great set for birthday cards. There are 27 stamps in the set. One is the birthday cake on this card. Another one is a series of dots to use as a background stamp. All the rest are words (like "birthday" on this card) or partial phrases (like "it's your" on the cake). Because the stamps are photopolymer, it is easy to line them up and stamp. So get creative with Endless Birthday Wishes!
The Designer Series Paper on this card is from the Lullaby package. Baked Brown Sugar, Crushed Curry, Crisp Cantaloupe and Whisper White card stock were used to complete the card. The Whisper White and Baked Brown Sugar card stock in the center were cut using the Chalk Talk framelits (129983). A Rhinestone Basic Jewel (119246) was added to the little tab and I added a dab of Silver Sparkle Dazzling Details (127845) to the top of each candle.
