Paper Options

This week I decided to concentrate on the many special papers available from Stampin' Up! This card uses the Irresistibly Yours Specialty Paper. It is paper that has embossed images on it. In this case, the white flowers. So, all you have to do is add some color to the paper and then wipe the ink off the white embossed flowers. I used sponges to add the Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral and Rose Red color. SU! offers these papers every so often. Of course, you can make your own by stamping any image with VersaMark ink and heat embossing with white embossing powder.
This card also uses a little piece of gold foil for the banner. See another card using silver foil tomorrow.

Sharing in Your Sorrow

Sadly, I was in need of a few sympathy cards. We have had a few deaths in our parish and community. At about the same time our weather was gloomy and so I wanted a card that was more bright and hopefully a little uplifting. The butterflies were made using my Big Shot and the Beautiful Wings embosslit. The DSP comes from the Flowerpot packet and the expression is from the Thoughts and Prayers stamp set. I wanted to use this expression because I was sending this card to a dear friend whose mother, Helen passed away at the age of 102. Helen was just such a dear, sweet lady and you would never have guessed her age. The pearls add a little extra sparkle to the card just like Helen did to life.

Coaster Calendar - May, June, July and August

May's flower is punched card stock using the Boho Blossoms punch and topped with a button from a retired assortment.

June's butterflies are cut using the Big Shot Beautiful Wings embosslit.

July's stars are punched and topped with a rhinestone.

August's ice cream cone was stamped using the retired Sock Monkey Accessories stamp set and colored with Blendabilities markers.
