Foil Sheets

For this card I punched 1" circles out of Silver Foil sheets, Lost Lagoon, and Blackberry Bliss card stock.
Then it is just  a matter of aligning those circles and adhering to the Whipsper White card stock. I glued down the circles and had some that overlapped the edge of the white card stock. When all were adhered I trimmed off the overlapping pieces. The decorated white card stock is layered on a piece of Lost Lagoon card stock and Blackberry Bliss card base. I got this card idea from Linda Heller at Stamping School.

Paper Options

This week I decided to concentrate on the many special papers available from Stampin' Up! This card uses the Irresistibly Yours Specialty Paper. It is paper that has embossed images on it. In this case, the white flowers. So, all you have to do is add some color to the paper and then wipe the ink off the white embossed flowers. I used sponges to add the Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral and Rose Red color. SU! offers these papers every so often. Of course, you can make your own by stamping any image with VersaMark ink and heat embossing with white embossing powder.
This card also uses a little piece of gold foil for the banner. See another card using silver foil tomorrow.

Gift Bag and Tag

I'm always saving the little Kraft bags that gift stores seem to be using these days. Usually they have added a small sticker or stamped their store name on the front. Then I just cover the front with some DSP and make a matching tag or card.
Here's the one I made this week.

The little tags on the front were made with some retired tag punches and the retired Merry Medley punch trio. The little strips of silver foil on the tag and the DSP give the bag some added sparkle. The tag is made using the Chalk Talk framelits.
This will probably be my last post of 2014; I've got a  before Christmas to do list that is a mile long. 'Tis the season!

Festival of Trees Gift Tags

These gift tags were made by using the scraps on my desk top after making a Christmas card for a Shoebox party in November. I used the Festival of Trees photopolymer stamp set and coordinating tree punch. This photopolymer set is fun to create with. I've got more tags I want to create now! The Designer Series Paper is All is Calm and trimmed with some Silver Foil Sheet strips. I've threaded the white Taffetta ribbon, white baker's twine and the 1/8" silver ribbon in the holes punched when using the Scallop Tag Topper punch

Coloring Embossed Foil Sheet Images

Today's card uses the Blendabilities markers to color the embossed letters and numbers. I ran a 3-3/4" X 5" piece of the Gold Foil sheet (132622) through the Big Shot using the Alphabet Press Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (130916). Then I selected 4 of the darkest shades of Blendabilities in Daffodil Delight (130998), Old Olive (130999), Calypso Coral (130996) and Coastal Cabana (131000) and used the brush tip to color the embossed letters and numbers.
I also used the Chalk Talk stamp set (130634 c, 130631 w) and the Banners Framelits (132173) on this card. I'll tell you how I got the colored expression on the black card stock in tomorrow's post. So, stay tuned!
