Tissue Holder

This is a cute and super easy "perk me up" gift to make. It holds a pocket tissue packet.
I found this project on Splitcoast Stampers. You start with a 4-1/4" x 11" piece of cardstock, scored at 1/2", 3", 4" and 6-1/2". You can punch the upper corners if desired to round them. Fold along the score lines. Attach Designer Series Paper (3 pieces measuring 3/4" x 4", 2-1/4"x 4" and 3-1/4" x 4". Stamp sentiment on the 3/4" piece of DSP. Use the small oval punch to make an opening for the tissue. You can make a decorative edge by punching a piece of the cardstock with the small oval punch and then using the scallop oval punch to punch again giving you an oval scallop ring to glue to the edge of the oval opening. Attach flowers and leaves and pearls to the top.
Use a strong adhesive to glue the 1/2" tap of cardstock to make the holder. Insert the packet of pocket tissues.

Grape Hyacinths

The pattern on this piece of Sheer Perfection Designer Vellum made me think of Grape Hyacinths. So, I used an idea from Dawn Olchefske's blog to make this card.
You color the reverse side of the vellum using markers, I've used Wisteria Wonder and Wild Wasabi. After the ink has dried use a stylus and paper piercing mat and gently rub the flowers in a circular motion on the wrong side of the vellum. This pops the flowers out on the right side of the vellum. So pretty. Wish I could get a better picture of it.

Vellum Fun

This week I'm going to show some fun cards made using the Sheer Perfection Deisgner Vellum that was an added Sale A Bration Product. If you didn't get the vellum you can still make these cards. You could just use the layouts with designer paper or you could stamp on vellum with Staz On Black ink and make similar cards.
I sure hope the new catalog has some similar printed vellum in it!
These two cards have a sheet of Designer Series Paper layerd behind the vellum to give more pizzazz.

Fun Pinwheel Fold Card

This card is much easier to make than it looks. Dawn Ochefske has an excellent video on her blog that I used as my guide. I then mounted the square card onto a piece of 4-1/4 X 5-1/2 cardstock so it would fit in an A4 envelope perfectly. (You could just put the square card in the envelope, too. But I like the added ribbon above or the stars below.) I decided to add the "to open" image to the card front so the recipient would know what to do. That stamp comes from the retired "Got Treats" stamp set.

The star strip and stars come from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Dies.
