For this card I used the retired tree punch and some gold foil sheet to make the center tree flanked by trees cut from the box paper (a little gold foil cut for tree trunks). The trees were adhered to a piece of white sponged (Emerald Envy and Soft Sky).
After all was done I decided I should have stamped the ground with snow. Oh well!

Star of Light Sparkles
It is a little hard to see in this photo but I used the stardust swirl as a background for this birthday card. The circle image was cut and stamped from one of the tags in the July 2016 What a Gem Paper Pumpkin.
Sometimes Paper Pumpkin is 3-D projects as this Gem kit. The kit made little gem shaped boxes and had lots of tiny gem images and cute little expressions that wen along with those gems.
I stamped one of the tags in the kit and then punched with a circle punch, adhered with a dimensional and added a punched gold foil star.
Next week I'll showcase some more ways I used the kit to make cards as I decided I didn't need all the gem boxes.

Star of Wonder...
This card using the Star of Light bundle. The layered star was made using Red Glimmer paper for the solid star, then layered with filigree star cut out of gold foil sheet and lastly one of the small star framlets used to make the center with gold glimmer paper. I saw a similar card using red foil sheet, gold glimmer and then gold foil as the layering. So pretty either way you choose.
The little stars surrounding were stamped with gold Encore pad using the little triple star stamp from Star of Light bundle.

Hello Sunburst
This card is a lot like one I posted last week. While cleaning up the scraps on my desk I discovered this piece of map DSP and still have some gold strips from a previous Paper Pumpkin and Vellum scraps laying there. I remembered seeing a similar card on Pinterest but decided to just see would go together. It is hard to read the expression on the gold banner but it says "birthday boy". The stars were cut using my Big Shot and the strip of stars from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits and one of those gold foil strips laying on my desk.

Cupcake #1
Here I used confetti Designer Series Paper from retire Birthday Bash set that was specialty paper with gold flecks in the confetti. So, I used some gold foil paper to stamp the cupcake liner and then stamped the white frosting on Whisper White cardstock and used the confetti stamp set from Sprinkles of Life to make the confetti using my markers to color the confetti pieces. Then some more gold for the banner. I was reminded when watching one of Linda Heller's Stamping School videos this week that it is good to repeat a color three times. So, I tried to do that with the gold here... gold in DSP, gold cupcake liner and gold banner.

The Scraps on the Table
These two cards were made using the card stock and DSP scraps on my table. The top card was made just using those scraps. The bottom card used scraps plus some gold foil card sheet for the star. And I did some paper piercing on it. I saw a card with similar layout on Pinterest but came up with the paper piercing idea. I used the oval paper piercing template to make the streaks.

Birthday Bash!
A little girl we know is turning two this month. She's the first grandchild of friends. I know Grandma and Grandpa will enjoy celebrating with her. I used the Birthday Bash Speciality Paper from the Occasions catalog for the two corner squares. This is one of the two sheets in the package that are one-sided embossed gold foil. It's hard to tell on the photo but some of the little sprinkles are gold foil embossed. Pretty paper! For the center square, flame tips and little heart (from Owl Builder Punch) I used a piece of gold foil sheet. The Cupcake Builder Punch makes for a quick focal point. The stamp set is the retired Create a Cupcake but check out the new Cupcake Party set in Stampin' Up!'s big catalog. One of my nieces introduced me to this sketch design and I've been having lots of fun with it.
Here's a fun valentine I made using the same sketch.
Lots of retired product on this one; Oh, Whale! stamp set, and coordinating embosslit, Cloudy Day and Scallops embossing folders. The sentiment inside is "Whale you be mine?" I'm hoping some little family members will get the pun.
