Vertical Greetings

Here's a fun card using the topiary from Vertical Greetings and add the little bird punched with the Tree Builder punch. I free-hand drew the wing and eye because I wanted my bird to face two different directions. The front of this card is cut 5/8" inch shorter lengthwise so that the Happy Birthday is visible when the card is closed.  The colors here are Cucumber Crush, Daffodil Delight and Calypso Coral. The ribbon is retired, I think it was a Sale-a-Bration item many years ago. At one time I had two rolls of it. I finally broke open the second pack today!

Nest and Wreath

These cards use another diecut from the Swirly Scribbles thinlits. I've used it to make a nest in the top card the bird and nest are from the Swirly Bird stamp set. The expressions, and word bubble are from a retired stamp set and the cloud is punched using the Tree Builder punch.
Another way to use this thinlit is as a wreath.

Ballon Celebration

I finally got my Balloon Celebration stamp set out to play with it. There are so many fun cards to CASE on Pinterest! This is one that uses the Tree Builder punch to cut clouds out of vellum. The punch works best if on vellum if you add a layer of copy paper and punch the two layers together. Then I used some candy dots to cover up the glue dots. The expression was made using the Endless Birthday Wishes stamp set (a really versatile photopolymer set). The balloons were stamped by stamping off 2 times before stamping on the card front with the solid balloon image and then using the same color full strength with the dotted balloon image.

Two Trees

The first card shown here is a CASE from Linda Heller.
This card is made using the tree stamp and after punching it out slipping it under the circle cut out to make a tree branch for the little bird to sit on. The cloud was also stamped and punched and slipped under the circle cut out.
There are many more ways to get creative with this punch and stamp set. This week I showcased just the cards I made on my first afternoon of creating with it. It's going to be one of my favorite new sets and tools.

Basket of Posies

This card is made using the cupcake liner and the candle stamps from the Sprinkles of Life set to make a basket. I saw an example of the basket on Pinterest but took me a few moments to figure out the handles were made using the birthday candle stamp. So clever. I used the leaves stamp to top the basket and then stamped the little flowers and punched using the Tree Builder Punch to give some more dimension to the flowers in the basket. The flowers growing on my green background are just stamped and colored with markers. The green grass was background was made by inking up just a portion of the Watercolor Wash background stamp and stamping off twice before stamping on the Whisper White cardstock.

Cupcake #2

I made this cupcake with a flowery icing top. I just used part of the "Money can't buy happiness..." stamp from the Sprinkle of Life stamp set because I got this idea to make this card into a cupcake gift card holder. So here's the inside of the card...
I just glued down three sides of the DSP on the inside so that a plastic gift card would slide under it. When I attach the real gift card I'll probably use a small glue dot to help hold the gift card in place.

Cupcake #1

Here I used confetti Designer Series Paper from retire Birthday Bash set that was specialty paper with gold flecks in the confetti. So, I used some gold foil paper to stamp the cupcake liner and then stamped the white frosting on Whisper White cardstock and used the confetti stamp set from Sprinkles of Life to make the confetti using my markers to color the confetti pieces. Then some more gold for the banner. I was reminded when watching one of Linda Heller's Stamping School videos this week that it is good to repeat a color three times. So, I tried to do that with the gold here... gold in DSP, gold cupcake liner and gold banner.

Sprinkles of Life

I just got the Sprinkles of Life stamp set and Tree Builder Punch with my recent Stampin' Up! order. I am so glad I finally decided to order it. I've had such fun creating with these coordinating projects. This card went together rather easily. The front panel is cut short and the biggest challenge for me was not putting too much adhesive on the layers of ice cream so that they wouldn't stick to the inside of the card. The top scoop is ice cream was made by stamping on some retired birthday bash confetti Designer Series Paper. And I used the Cupcake Builder Punch to punch out a cherry to top off the cone.
