Throwback Thursday with Flocked Specialty Paper

I've had a sheet of this flocked DSP on my shelf for so long! I could never decide how to use it. It always seemed a bit overpowering on its own. By layering the Smoky Slate sunburst over the DSP it toned down the flocked DSP. I used some of the DSP scrap to punch out the butterfly and the background circle. CASE from Linda Heller.

Botanicals for You meets Gorgeous Grunge

You have to look closely but I started this card by stamping a background of the Gorgeous Grunge striped stamp with So Saffron ink in the background. I stamped it just where I thought the stamped flowers and expression would be. Next I stamped the expression using Midnight Muse ink. Then it was just a matter of stamping the flowers and leaves. I used Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral, Pool Party for the flowers and Wild Wasabi for the leaves. I also stamped a few flowers on some white cs scrap and then fussy cut to add to the left of the expression. Those three flowers were topped off with tiny rhinestones. Another Pinterest CASE.

Colorful Party Wishes

This card for the class will introduce participants to the Big Shot and Embossing Folders. I'll have the card bases pre-embossed and just demonstrate the process in order to save some time. Then the participants will get to use sponge daubers and fussy cut the cake. They will also learn about stamping off, since I think the cake is too dark using the Crushed Curry directly to paper. The candle is punched using the new Party Punch pack.

Designer Series Paper Sets the Stage

This card is a CASE of one I received from a friend. I didn't have the exact same DSP but found a piece that would work. If you look closely you will see I used my Simple Scored tool to dry emboss a frame around the DSP. Hello comes from the Honeycomb Hello stamp set.
