Sailing, Sailing...

 I saw this idea on Pinterest but it wasn't until i make one that I realized how clever this was. You just cut one of the triangles from the Paper Pumpkin kit with the little adhesive tab attached. Then cut off the tab and flip it over using the adhesive strip already on it to make the sailboat. Then cut the triangle down the middle. I did cut a little off one side to make the sails a different size., The largest sail was adhered using a dimesional . All sailboat pieces were adhered to a piece of sponged Marina Mist cardstock. I used a torn sheet of copy paper and repositioned it as I sponged for the wave effect. A little Marina Mist  enamel shape or candy dot was added to the boat.
My biggest challenge was picking the expression. I started with "get well sooner" from the Greatest Greetings, then saw the "Sending Smiles" also in that set.

 Then I spied the "Little Mr. Right" stamp and thought it would make a cute baby card. So, stamped one with it.

 And lastly pulled this retired stamp out to use.

It's Not Just for Christmas

Star of Light stamp set can also be sued to make generic cards. Here's a birthday card I made using the stars from that set.
And inside I continued with the slanted layout in my stamping.

Paper Piercing Week

I participate in a weekly challenge. This week's challenge was to use Paper Piercing technique on the card. This is the card I made for the challenge. You may have to look closely to see the piercing. (CASE:  Mary Fish.)But I saw so many other great ideas and cards that I decided to do some more paper piercing. Hooray for Today!

This card uses some DSP. I had two pieces that were just the size for layering and then added a banner that I embossed with Elegant Dots embossing folder. I like this color combo.

This card using the last of the scraps cut into banners. Hooray for today because I've finished off these two packs of DSP scraps!

Paper Scraps

I had two packs of Designer Series Paper that just had scraps of paper left in them. I remembered seeing a similar card on Pinterest but decided I didn't want to hunt for it to CASE. So, made this on my own. I started with the top card because that packet had lots of long skinny scraps. I glued the expression strip down first and then added the strips above and below. the first strips were cut at just the angle I needed for the bottom pieces. But then as I got to the top of the card the angles were wrong. So, I had to cut them and it wasn't as easy to assemble. So, for the second card I drew a pencil lines where the white piece of card stock would go and then layered the strips on the card. This was so much easier. For one thing I could lay down a layer of adhesive on the backing using a Stampin' Glue Stick. By adding the white expression strip last I didn't have to worry about the angle on the bottom pieces since the white would cover the ends.

You Grow, Girl

This card combines an expression from the new Greatest Greetings stamp set with lots of retired products. It's fun to pull out some of those old favorite things and create cards.
